Ole Men Farm

Somewhere out there
Is a farm
Where people stop and stare
Where old men are dancing
Their ligaments,
In need of repair
You can see it in their eyes
They know that nothing ever dies
Yet, these old men are scared
Of their only devil in disguise
They’re all singin’ the one thing we forgot
You gotta make do with the things you’ve got
Their senses are burning
Like the sunlight
That penetrates the night
Their end is endless
They keep on running,
But can’t reach the glow so bright
There’s really nothing left to say
Except that one of them is called
Jean-Baptiste Pierre Antoine De Monet
We’ll leave it at that and call it a day
They’re all singin’ the one thing we forgot
You gotta make do with the things you’ve got

I Don't Mind

Everybody’s going somewhere
I’m left behind
They tell me i’ll be lost forever
But i don’t mind
As i walk through these empty backstreets
I like to listen to the sound of my footsteps
Some might say i’ve lost it
Well, maybe i did
-
No, i’m sure i did
I don’t care what they say ‘bout me
I’m just doin’ things my own way
-
even though, you sent me packing
you know i promise i’ll be back, mama
She tells me i’ll be lost forever
Hell, I’m just tryin’ to find myself
I see the birds flyin’ by my window
I wanna let them in
Maybe they can tell me
What it takes to fly away from here
-
You know, away from here
But when that train is passing by
I’m sure as hell i’m gonna miss it
-
what have I lost?
I lost myself
I see I’m falling behind
But I don’t mind.

Set A Light

I’m moving through these streets
Like an old man
Thinking about the past
Living so vividly
In his memory
Take me away
I walk the nights
So people don’t see my face
Ain’t gonna look ‘em in the eye
Ain’t waiting for their embrace
Into your arms
Take me away
Your hands are warm
Please take this cold away

I'm the ruler of my world
the sculptor of my destiny
and in the end..
I'm the ruler of my world
the sculptor of my destiny
Hands
Feet
Bound to your soul
Hands
Feet
Bound to your soul
Chilling rain pouring down on me
i follow the path of your love,
i follow the path of your love
forged with great care and understanding
i follow the path of your love,
i follow the path of your love
the light of eternal freedom within your eyes
Hands
Feet
Bound to your soul
Hands
Feet
Bound to your soul
Chilling rain pouring down on me

Hangman

I’m a ghost in my own existence
No man can see when i’m lost
Electric wires connecting souls
I’ll never be
Do you remember when it was fun
And we used to stay out in the shimmering sun
Those were the good times, babe
But our time’s long gone.
Hang me in the wind on a string, or a wire
Why won’t you set me free
The whole world in front of me
No chains that won’t let me be
I pack my bags to new frontiers
I’m free to be
Well, I don’t know why, it’s just one of those things
I don’t see why I shouldn’t take what life brings
Those were the good times, babe
But our time’s long gone.
The colours in her eyes make my pupils dance
Hang me in the wind on a string, or a wire
Why won’t you set me free
